Chitwan: Nepali Congress (NC) General-Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has vowed to prevent further deterioration of the party. Speaking at a program organized by the NC Chitwan District Committee to mark the 111th birth anniversary of BP Koirala, Thapa emphasized the need to clean up internal issues within the party and ensure it remains a united "house" for all.

Thapa criticized the party's reliance on electoral alliances during the last parliamentary election, expressing the need for NC to stand independently with ideological clarity in future elections. He highlighted the importance of spreading the party's core ideologies across all villages rather than focusing solely on electoral victories.

Minister for Health and Population, Pradeep Poudel, echoed Thapa's call for unity, urging the party to align the government's work with its values. Several other central committee members, including Uma Regmi, Tek Prasad Gurung, and Jit Narayan Shrestha, also stressed the need for honesty and dedication to further strengthen the party.

During the program, NC Chitwan District Committee honored 174 democratic leaders, with posthumous recognitions included.
